About Sutter Kain's Music Journey
Robert Evans grew up in a place called Rochdale Village in South Jamaica, Queens, New York City. When he was younger, he wanted to become a battle DJ, which is a DJ who competes by mixing and scratching records. Later, he moved to the Carolinas.
In 2002, when he was 18, Robert Evans signed his first music deal with MCA Records. A year later, in 2003, MCA Records joined with another company called Geffen Records. At that point, he decided to leave and focus on his own record label, Never So Deep Records.
He wanted to control all parts of his music business. This included making music and videos, marketing, promoting, and distributing his work. He used online tools and social media to help his company grow.
As DJ Bless, Robert Evans has shown his skills by working with many famous music producers. Some of these include Kanye West, Scott Storch, and Sean Combs. He also produced a song called "Tha Beehive" for the artist Lil' Kim on her album La Bella Mafia.
In 2005 and 2006, he produced and mixed songs for Czar-Nok's album That One Way. He also created music for the video game EA Sports Fight Night 2005. In 2008, he helped create the music for a movie called Hoop Realities. This movie was a follow-up to the well-known documentary Hoop Dreams.
