Early Life and Education

Svetlana Chmakova was born in Russia. She first discovered comics there when she found a book called ElfQuest. This happened at a book stand in Moscow.

When she was 16, Svetlana moved to Canada. She later studied animation at Sheridan College. She finished her studies in 2002. After college, she started sharing her manga stories online.
