Reginald Siki (born June 16, 1940) is a retired American-Canadian professional wrestler and singer. He is famous for his wrestling name, Sweet Daddy Siki.

Sweet Daddy Siki's Wrestling Journey

Sweet Daddy Siki started his wrestling career in 1955. He began training in places like Artesia, New Mexico, and Los Angeles. When he first started, he weighed about 180 pounds. But within three years, he grew to 230 pounds!

Moving to Toronto

In 1961, Siki moved to Toronto, Canada. He chose Toronto because it was a great place to travel from for matches all over North America. He still lives there today. Toronto is also where he leads his country and western band. He even works as a karaoke DJ at a place called The Duke.

Siki became very well known across Canada. He was a huge star in the 1960s and 1970s. He wrestled for many years in Stampede Wrestling. He also traveled with Bearman McKigney's wrestling shows. He was a regular on the wrestling scene in Eastern Canada.

Signature Moves and Popularity

Sweet Daddy Siki was famous for his special wrestling moves. His main move was a headbutt, which he called the "coco butt." He also used a "neckbreaker."

At his most popular, Siki was a main event wrestler at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. Fans would come by the busload to watch him! He first wrestled there in 1962 and continued until 1980. During his peak at Maple Leaf Gardens, he could earn up to $3,000 for one match. He also received lots of fan mail from all over the world.

In the 1970s, Siki even wrestled two famous Toronto radio and TV hosts. These were Terry Steele from CHUM radio and Gene Taylor from CITY-TV. For both matches, he used a move called the "airplane spin" to win.

Later Career and Music

Siki wrestled for a few weeks in CWA Memphis in 1985. He also suffered many injuries during his career. He had broken ribs, broken hands, and a broken ankle and leg. Part of his face was even paralyzed at one point.

In the 1980s, he wrestled in different parts of Canada. He also started teaching wrestling to young people. He taught at Sully's Toronto Youth Athletic Club. He continued to wrestle into the 1990s. He also worked with a wrestling school in Toronto for many years.

Besides Canada, Siki wrestled in many other countries. These included the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and Trinidad.

Sweet Daddy Siki also had a music career. He wrote his own theme song called "I Am So Proud of What I See." He even released a music album on vinyl. Two music groups, The Henrys and Pork Belly Futures, have written songs about him.

In 2011, Sweet Daddy Siki made a special appearance. He showed up on WWE Smackdown for "Edge Appreciation Night." Many other wrestling legends were there too. He currently lives in Toronto.
