The Sylvirana faber, also known as the Bronzed Frog, is a type of frog. It lives in the hilly areas of Cambodia and Thailand. This frog is known for its unique colors and climbing abilities.

What Does the Bronzed Frog Look Like?

The adult Bronzed Frog can grow to be about 5.9 centimeters (about 2.3 inches) long. Its head is long and narrow, which helps it move through its habitat. Inside its mouth, it has eight vomerine teeth. These are small teeth found on the roof of the mouth.

Its Colors and Markings

The Bronzed Frog has a light brown color on its back. Its sides and eardrum are a darker brown. You can see dark brown stripes on its legs. The frog's belly is white, and the insides of its legs are a soft pink color.

Special Features

This frog has special disks on its toes. These disks help it climb easily. They act like little suction cups, allowing the frog to grip surfaces.

Where Does the Bronzed Frog Live?

The Bronzed Frog makes its home in the hills of Southeast Asia. It prefers the warm, moist environments found in places like Cambodia and Thailand. These areas provide the perfect conditions for the frog to thrive.

How Is It Related to Other Frogs?

Scientists have studied the Bronzed Frog closely. They believe it is closely related to other frog species. These include the Rana nigrovittata and the Rana mortenseni. Studying these relationships helps us understand how different frog species evolved.
