The TRS-80 Micro Computer System (often called the TRS-80) was an early home computer. It was first sold in 1977 by a company called Tandy Corporation through their RadioShack stores. This computer was later renamed the Model I to tell it apart from newer versions.
The name TRS-80 comes from "Tandy/RadioShack" and the "Z80 microprocessor" it used. It was one of the first computers made for a lot of people to buy and use at home. This made it a very important step in the history of computers!
