Tadatoshi Masuda (増田 忠俊, Masuda Tadatoshi, born December 25, 1973) is a former professional Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder and was known for his skills on the field. Masuda even played once for the Japan national team.

Playing Career

Early Life and Club Start

Tadatoshi Masuda was born in Shizuoka, Japan, on December 25, 1973. After finishing high school at Shizuoka Gakuen High School, he began his professional football journey. In 1992, he joined Kashima Antlers, a well-known team in Japan.

Time with Kashima Antlers

Masuda started playing regularly for Kashima Antlers in 1994. He became an important player, often playing as an offensive midfielder. This means he helped both defend and attack, creating chances for his team to score. During his time with Kashima Antlers, the team achieved great success.

They won the J1 League championship in 1996 and again in 1998 and 2000. They also won the J.League Cup in 1997 and 2000, and the Emperor's Cup in 1997 and 2000. Masuda was a key part of these championship-winning teams.

Moving to Other Clubs

After many successful years with Kashima Antlers, Masuda moved to FC Tokyo in June 2000. He continued to play in the J1 League, Japan's top football league.

Later, he played for several other teams. These included JEF United Ichihara in 2002, Kashiwa Reysol from 2003 to 2005, and finally Oita Trinita in 2006. He retired from professional football at the end of the 2006 season.

Playing for Japan

Tadatoshi Masuda had the honor of playing for the Japan national team. He made his debut on February 15, 1998. This special match was against Australia.
