The Taichung Mosque (also known as Taizhong Qīngzhēnsì in Chinese) is an important place of worship for Muslims in Taichung, Taiwan. It is the fourth mosque ever built in Taiwan. The first building for this mosque was constructed way back in 1951.

History of Taichung Mosque
After a big conflict called the Chinese Civil War ended in 1949, some Muslim soldiers from the Nationalist army moved to Taiwan. Many of them settled in a place called Changhua. At first, they prayed in people's homes.
Building the First Mosque
As more and more Muslims came to Taiwan, there was a need for a proper mosque. So, plans were made to build one in 1951. The first Taichung Mosque was built on Zhongxiao Road in Taichung City.
Moving to a New Location
Over time, the number of Muslims in Taichung grew even more. The original mosque became too small. Because of this, a brand new Taichung Mosque was built. It opened its doors in 1990 at a new location on Dadun South Road.
