Taim Hasan (Arabic: تيم حسن) was born on February 17, 1976. He is a famous Syrian actor. He is well-known for his strong acting in dramatic roles across Syria and the Arab world.
Taim Hasan became very popular in Syria through many successful TV shows. Some of his most famous roles were in series like Saladin, Taifas, and Nizar Qabbani. He also played the main character in the Egyptian series King Farouk. This role made him one of the top actors in the Arab world. He often worked with Hatem Ali, a leading Syrian director. Taim Hasan also starred in the movie The Waiting in 2006. He is especially known for playing Abboud, a character who finds a loving community after growing up without a family.

About Taim Hasan's Life and Career
Taim Hasan was born in Tartus, Syria, on February 17, 1976. When he was about four or five years old, his family moved to Damascus. His family was not involved in the film industry before him. His father taught German, and his mother taught Arabic.
Becoming an Actor
When Taim Hasan first tried to join the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, he was not accepted. But he tried again, and this time, the Syrian actor Jamal Suliman saw his great potential. So, Taim Hasan was accepted into the institute.
After graduating in 2001, Taim Hasan quickly became known for his important roles in Syrian TV series. His first big role was in 2000, while he was still studying. This was in a Syrian series directed by Hatem Ali. The next year, he had a breakthrough role in the series Saladin, also directed by Hatem Ali. In this show, he played "the Fatimid Caliph Al-Aded Ledin Allah." By 2006, Taim Hasan had starred in many Syrian series alongside respected actors like Jamal Suliman and Ayman Zeidan.
Playing King Farouk
After finishing a romantic drama series, Taim Hasan was asked to play the main role of King Farouk in a big Egyptian project. This was not his first time playing a famous historical figure. In 2005, he played Nizar Qabbani, Syria's most famous poet, in a series about him.
It was said that other Egyptian actors had turned down the role of King Farouk before Taim Hasan was asked. Taim Hasan not only helped save the project, but he also helped turn it into a successful drama. To look like King Farouk, Taim Hasan reportedly shaved his hair and wore a special body-suit and heavy makeup. This helped him look like the king, especially in his later years.
On December 6, 2007, Taim Hasan won a Gold Medal for Best Actor at the Cairo Festival for Arab Media. He shared this award with Egyptian actor Yehia El-Fakharany. This award was for his role in the popular 2007 Ramadan TV series "King Farouk."
Later Works
Taim Hasan's TV series Conflict on the Sand was filmed in Morocco and Syria. It was shown worldwide in 2008. Many people saw it as a new start for Bedouin-themed shows in Arabic drama. This series was an epic story set in the desert in the early 18th century. It also starred actors like Saba Mubarak and Muna Wassef. Hatem Ali directed it, and it was based on the ideas of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In 2009, Taim Hasan played a main role in the film Mecano. This movie also featured Lebanese actress Nour and Egyptian actor Khaled El Sawi. It is a drama about a young architect who has a rare memory problem. He falls in love with Amira, who helps him through his difficulties.
Taim Hasan is also the main character in all five seasons of the popular Lebanese series Al Hayba. This show features many well-known Arab celebrities.

Taim Hasan and his first wife, Syrian actress Dima Bayaa, got divorced after 10 years of marriage. Many fans were surprised because they seemed like a perfect couple. In 2017, he married Egyptian TV presenter, Wafaa El Kilani.
