Hatem Ali (Arabic: حاتم علي) (born June 2, 1962 – died December 29, 2020) was a very talented Syrian director, writer, and actor. He was well-known for his amazing work in both television and movies.

About Hatem Ali
Hatem Ali was born in Fiq, a town in the Golan Heights. His family had to move to Damascus after the Six-Day War when that area was occupied. He studied at a special school for acting called the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1986.
He became famous for directing TV shows like Al-Taghreba al-Falastenya, Salah Al-deen, and Omar TV series. Hatem Ali was highly respected in theater and even taught acting at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts.
He passed away on December 29, 2020, in Cairo, Egypt, at the age of 58. He died after suffering a heart attack. He was buried in the Bab al-Saghir cemetery in Damascus. His last acting role was in a Canadian movie called Peace by Chocolate.
