Takanori Nunobe (布部 陽功, Nunobe Takanori, born September 23, 1973) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He was born in Takatsuki, Osaka, Japan. Takanori Nunobe played as a midfielder for many years in Japan's top football leagues. After his playing career, he became a coach and manager for different teams.

Playing Career Highlights

Takanori Nunobe started his professional football journey in 1995. He joined a team called Verdy Kawasaki. In his first season, he played as a forward. His team won the 1996 Emperor's Cup, which is a big championship in Japan.

Moving to New Teams

In 1997, Takanori Nunobe moved to Júbilo Iwata. He often came into games as a substitute player. That year, his new team won the J1 League championship. This is the highest football league in Japan.

The next year, in 1998, he joined Vissel Kobe. Here, he became a regular player. He played as a right midfielder and also as a right side back. He stayed with Vissel Kobe for several years.

Playing for His Local Club

In 2001, Takanori Nunobe moved to Cerezo Osaka. This was his local club. His team finished second in the 2001 Emperor's Cup. However, the club was moved down to the J2 League in 2002.

From 2002, he became a key player as a defensive midfielder. His efforts helped Cerezo Osaka return to the J1 League in just one year. In 2003, the team again finished second in the Emperor's Cup.

Final Years as a Player

In 2006, he joined Avispa Fukuoka. He played many games as a defensive midfielder. Unfortunately, the club was moved down to the J2 League in 2007. Takanori Nunobe continued to play regularly for Avispa Fukuoka. He retired from playing football at the end of the 2008 season.

Coaching and Managerial Career

After he stopped playing, Takanori Nunobe began his coaching career. He started as a coach at Avispa Fukuoka in 2009.

Coaching at Kashiwa Reysol

In 2010, he moved to Kashiwa Reysol. He worked as a coach there for many years, until 2016.

Becoming a Manager

In 2017, Takanori Nunobe became the manager of Kyoto Sanga FC, a team in the J2 League. He led the team for a while. However, the team's results were not good in 2018. He left the club in May 2018 when the team was near the bottom of the league.
