Takanori Nunobe (布部 陽功, Nunobe Takanori, born September 23, 1973) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He was born in Takatsuki, Osaka, Japan. Takanori Nunobe played as a midfielder for several top Japanese clubs during his career. After retiring as a player, he became a football coach and manager.

Playing Football: Takanori Nunobe's Career

Takanori Nunobe began his journey in football after leaving Kindai University in 1993. He joined Verdy Kawasaki in 1995. In his first season, he played as a forward. His team, Verdy Kawasaki, won the 1996 Emperor's Cup. This is a major football competition in Japan.

Moving to New Teams

In 1997, Takanori Nunobe moved to Júbilo Iwata. He often came into games as a substitute player. That year, Júbilo Iwata won the J1 League championship. The J1 League is Japan's top professional football league.

Playing for Vissel Kobe

In 1998, Nunobe joined Vissel Kobe. Here, he became a regular player. He played as a right midfielder and also as a right side back. These positions are important for both attacking and defending on the field.

Time with Cerezo Osaka

Coaching Football: Takanori Nunobe's Managerial Path

After ending his playing career, Takanori Nunobe started coaching. He began at Avispa Fukuoka in 2009. In 2010, he moved to Kashiwa Reysol and worked as a coach there until 2016.

In 2017, Nunobe became the manager for Kyoto Sanga FC, a club in the J2 League. A manager is like the head coach of a team. In 2018, the team's performance was not very good. Takanori Nunobe left his role as manager in May of that year.
