Takashi Fujii (藤井隆, Fujii Takashi), born March 10, 1972, is a Japanese entertainment star. He is known for being a comedian, actor, singer, TV host, and music producer. He works with a big Japanese entertainment company called Yoshimoto Kogyo. He was very popular as the host of Matthew's Best Hit TV. On this show, he played a funny character named Matthew Minami (マシュー南, Mashū Minami). He also hosted other shows on TV Asahi. Takashi Fujii was born in Toyonaka, Osaka, Japan.
On May 7, 2005, he announced he would marry Otoha (乙葉), a Japanese celebrity. They got married on July 30, 2005, in Tokyo. Many famous Japanese people attended their wedding. They have one daughter.
In 2022, he helped host Love Is Blind: Japan. He also hosted an Audible podcast called Matthew's Matthew: Matthew in Matthew's Room.

Takashi Fujii is very active as an actor and a funny TV host.
In other parts of the world, especially the United States, he is famous for his role as Matthew Minami. He hosted his own show in the 2003 movie Lost in Translation. In the movie, he interviewed Bill Murray's character, Bob Harris. As Matthew, he wears a blonde wig and bright suits. His character is very energetic and funny.
Takashi Fujii (as Matthew Minami) actually hosted a real TV show called Matthew's Best Hit UV. This show featured many musicians and popular Japanese celebrities. Matthew Minami's character also appeared in other TV programs related to Best Hit TV.

Fujii is also a talented musician and producer. He focuses on dance music and J-pop (Japanese pop music). His song, "Oh My Juliet!", was produced by the popular J-pop artist Tommy february⁶. This song was later used in the movie Babel.
He has worked with other famous artists too. These include Daisuke Asakura, Tetsuya Komuro, Seiko Matsuda, and Fayray.
In 2004, he went on a "World Tour". He held concerts in Los Angeles, U.S., and Shanghai, China.
In 2014, he started his very own record label called Slenderie Record.
