Takashi Fujii (藤井隆, Fujii Takashi), born on March 10, 1972, is a famous Japanese entertainer. He is known for many things, including being a comedian, actor, singer, TV host, and music producer. He works with a big Japanese entertainment company called Yoshimoto Kogyo. He was also the popular host of a TV show called Matthew's Best Hit TV, where he played a character named Matthew Minami (マシュー南, Mashū Minami). This show and others like it were on TV Asahi. Takashi Fujii was born in Toyonaka, Osaka.
On May 7, 2005, he shared that he would marry Otoha (乙葉), who is a Japanese idol. They got married on July 30, 2005, in Tokyo. Many famous Japanese people attended their wedding. They have one daughter. In 2022, he helped host the show Love Is Blind: Japan. He also hosted a podcast called Matthew's Matthew: Matthew in Matthew's Room for Audible.

His Role in Lost in Translation
In countries like the United States, many people know him from the 2003 movie Lost in Translation. In the movie, he played Matthew Minami, who hosted his own show. Bill Murray's character, Bob Harris, appeared on this show. As Matthew, Takashi Fujii wore a blonde wig and bright suits. His character was energetic and funny.
