Takeshi Terada (寺田 武史, Terada Takeshi, born March 21, 1980) is a former professional football player from Japan. He was born on March 21, 1980. Takeshi Terada played as a defender, which means his main job was to stop the other team from scoring goals. He spent most of his professional career playing for a team called Thespa Kusatsu.
Early Football Journey
Takeshi Terada began his football journey when he was a teenager. From 1995 to 1997, he was part of the youth team at Kashima Antlers, a well-known Japanese club. After that, he continued to play football while attending Hannan University from 1998 to 2001.
Playing for Thespa Kusatsu
Takeshi Terada started his professional career in 2002 with Thespa Kusatsu. He played for this club for eight years, until 2009. During his time there, he played in many different leagues as the team moved up.
He started in the Prefectural Leagues in 2002. Then, he played in the Regional Leagues in 2003. In 2004, Thespa Kusatsu joined the Japan Football League, which is a higher division.
From 2005 to 2009, Takeshi Terada played for Thespa Kusatsu in the J2 League. This is one of Japan's top professional football leagues. He was a very important player for the team, appearing in 199 league matches and scoring 7 goals. He retired from professional football in 2009.
