What is Taki?
Taki is a card game that's an advanced version of Crazy Eights. If you've played Crazy Eights, you'll find Taki similar but with more exciting cards. The game usually takes about 20 minutes to play. It's great for groups, as 2 to 10 players can join in. Even kids as young as 5 years old can learn to play Taki!
The Cards in Taki
The Taki game uses a special deck of cards. These cards come in four main colors:
- Red
- Blue
- Green
- Yellow
Besides the colored cards, there are also special action cards. These cards make the game more exciting and can change how the game is played!
How to Play Taki
The main goal of Taki is simple: be the first player to get rid of all your cards! Players take turns matching cards from their hand to the card on top of the discard pile. You can match a card by its color or by its number. If you don't have a matching card, you have to draw more cards until you can play. The special action cards let you do things like skip other players, change the direction of play, or even make other players draw more cards!
