Taku Akahoshi (born April 21, 1984) is a retired Japanese footballer. He was a goalkeeper, which means he was the player who tries to stop the ball from going into the goal. He played for many years, mostly for a team called Sagan Tosu.
Taku Akahoshi's Football Journey
Taku Akahoshi started his football journey playing for Fukuoka University from 2003 to 2006. This was his youth career before he became a professional player.
Playing for Sagan Tosu
In 2007, Taku Akahoshi joined Sagan Tosu, a professional football club in Japan. He played for this team for a very long time, until 2018. During his time there, he played in 145 league games. As a goalkeeper, his main job was to prevent the other team from scoring goals.
Sagan Tosu was in the J2 League (the second division of Japanese football) when he first joined. They later moved up to the J1 League, which is the top division. Taku Akahoshi was part of the team during this exciting time.
Loan to Tokushima Vortis
