The Story of Talking Rain
Talking Rain started in 1987. It was founded by John Stevens and Pete Hiskin in Bellevue, Washington. Just six months later, some investors bought the company.
Sparkling Ice Begins
In 1992, Talking Rain started making their famous drink, Sparkling Ice. That same year, the company moved to its current home in Preston, Washington.
Famous Faces and Growth
In 2014, Kevin Durant, a well-known basketball player, signed a deal with Sparkling Ice. This helped make the drink even more popular!
Talking Rain grew a lot during these years. The company was even recognized on the Inc. 5000 list in 2014, 2015, and 2016. This list celebrates the fastest-growing private companies in America.
In 2017, Talking Rain teamed up with Tata Global Beverages. This partnership helped them distribute Himalayan mineral water in the U.S.
New Look and Technology
In 2018, Sparkling Ice got a fresh new look. The company also changed the drink's recipe to use colors from natural sources.

New Sparkling Ice Flavors
In October 2018, Talking Rain released a new version of Sparkling Ice that had caffeine in it. This gave people an extra boost of energy!
In May 2020, the company launched a special kind of water called Talking Rain Essentials Hydration Water. This was an alkaline water. They later relaunched it in 2021 as Talking Rain AQA.
