Tamajón is a small town in Spain. It is located in the province of Guadalajara, which is part of the Castile-La Mancha region. In 2006, about 205 people lived there. The town covers an area of about 116 square kilometers. People from Tamajón are called "Agallonero-a".
Tamajón is not just one town. It also includes three nearby villages. These villages are Almiruete, Palancares, and Muriel.
Exploring Tamajón's History
Tamajón has some interesting old buildings. One of the most important is a church. It was built in the 16th century, which means the 1500s. This church is dedicated to the Asunción de Nuestra Señora. It stands proudly overlooking the entrance to the town.
Just two kilometers north of Tamajón, you can find another historic building. This is the Hermitage of the Virgen de los Enebrales. A hermitage is a small chapel or church. This one is special because it honors the local Patron saint. It was also built in the 16th century and made bigger in the 18th century.

Near Tamajón, there is a unique natural area. It is called the "Enchanted City of Tamajón." This place is full of amazing rock formations. Over many years, rain and wind have shaped the local limestone. This has created strange and wonderful shapes. You can also find caves there. It's like a natural sculpture park!
