Tamar Beruchashvili (born on April 9, 1961) is a well-known diplomat and politician from Georgia. She has held several important jobs for her country.
From 2016 to 2020, she was Georgia's Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Before that, she served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs from November 2014 to September 2015.
She also worked as the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations from 1998 to 2000. In 2004, she was the Minister of Euro-Atlantic Integration. She also spent time as a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Besides her government roles, Tamar Beruchashvili was a professor at Tbilisi State University from 2000 to 2010.

Tamar Beruchashvili studied at several universities around the world. Her education helped her prepare for her important roles.
Early University Studies
From 1978 to 1985, she studied at Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. She learned about physics, mathematics, and natural sciences. She also studied French.
During this time, she became a chemist-researcher and a teacher. She also qualified as a translator.
Studying in the United States
From 1996 to 1998, she went to Indiana State University in Bloomington, USA. There, she studied international relations. In 1998, she earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. This degree helps people learn how to manage public organizations.
Advanced Studies in Georgia and Canada
Between 2002 and 2006, she continued her studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. She focused on economics and earned a Doctor of Economics degree.
At the same time, from 2002 to 2006, she trained in commercial diplomacy. This training took place at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Commercial diplomacy is about how countries work together on trade and business.
