Mamuka Bakhtadze (Georgian: მამუკა ბახტაძე; born 9 June 1982) is a Georgian politician. He served as the Prime Minister of Georgia from June 2018 to September 2019. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was the Minister of Finance from 2017 to 2018. He also led the Georgian Railway company from 2013 to 2017.

Early Life and Education
Mamuka Bakhtadze was born in Tbilisi, which was then part of the Soviet Union. He studied at two universities in Tbilisi. In 2003, he earned degrees in Management and Microeconomics from Tbilisi State University. He also studied Electromechanical Engineering at the Georgian Technical University.
Later, he continued his education abroad. He received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Moscow State University in 2005. He also earned an MBA from the INSEAD business school in 2010.
Career Before Politics
Before entering government, Bakhtadze worked in business. From 2010 to 2012, he was part of the supervisory board for a company called Georgian International Energy Corporation. In March 2013, he became the CEO of Georgian Railway LLC. This is Georgia's state-owned railway company. He held this position until 2017.
Becoming a Government Leader
On 13 November 2017, Mamuka Bakhtadze was chosen to be the Minister of Finance. He served in the government led by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
In June 2018, Prime Minister Kvirikashvili resigned. This meant the entire government cabinet also had to resign. The ruling party, Georgian Dream, then nominated Mamuka Bakhtadze to become the new Prime Minister. He was 36 years old at the time.
Leading the Country
Bakhtadze's new government needed approval from the parliament. On 20 June 2018, his cabinet won the vote of confidence. This meant he officially became the Prime Minister.
He promised to continue Georgia's goal of joining European and Atlantic organizations. He also pledged to make important and new changes in the country. His government was approved again by parliament in July 2018 after some changes were made to the government ministries.

As Prime Minister, Mamuka Bakhtadze made his first foreign trip to Brussels in July 2018. There, he met with European officials and confirmed Georgia's desire to join the European Union.
In September 2018, he spoke at the UN General Assembly. He talked about the presence of Russian military forces in the regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. He also spoke about Georgia's new ideas for peace in these areas.
During his time as Prime Minister, his government created the Otkhozoria–Tatunashvili List. This list was made to identify people responsible for crimes committed against Georgians in certain regions.
Bakhtadze also introduced several plans for economic and political changes in 2018. These included reforms for the education system and plans for a green economy. He supported Salome Zourabichvili's campaign to become the President of Georgia. He called her election a "victory for democracy."
On 2 September 2019, Mamuka Bakhtadze announced his resignation as Prime Minister. He shared his decision on Facebook, stating that he felt he had completed his mission.
