About Grevillea leptobotrys
This unique shrub usually spreads out close to the ground. It does not have a special woody base that regrows after a fire. The plant typically grows to be about 0.1 to 0.5 meters (4 inches to 1.6 feet) tall. Its branches are smooth and do not have a waxy, bluish coating.
What it Looks Like
The leaves of Grevillea leptobotrys are simple and flat. They are long and narrow, like a line. Each leaf can be anywhere from 30 to 1290 millimeters (1.2 to 50.8 inches) long. They are also about 10 to 20 millimeters (0.4 to 0.8 inches) wide.
Flowers and Fruit
This plant shows off its beautiful pink flowers from October to December. The flowers grow in clusters at the end of the branches. These flower clusters are called inflorescences. After the flowers, the plant produces a smooth, egg-shaped fruit. This fruit is about 9 to 14 millimeters (0.4 to 0.6 inches) long.
