Tanya Haden Black, born on October 11, 1971, is an American artist, musician, and singer. She is one of three triplet daughters of the famous jazz bassist Charlie Haden. Tanya is married to the well-known entertainer Jack Black.

Tanya Haden was born in New York City. She has been a part of several music groups. She also created a puppet show called "Imaginary Bear."
Music and Family
Tanya has lent her voice and played the cello on many recordings for musicians in Los Angeles. Her father, Charlie Haden, was a famous jazz double bass player. Tanya is a triplet sister to Rachel Haden, who plays bass, and Petra Haden, a violinist. The three sisters have performed together as The Haden Triplets. Their brother, Josh Haden, is also a musician and leads the band Spain.
Art and Education
Tanya studied experimental animation at the California Institute of the Arts. She earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree there. Tanya continues to work in visual art. Her drawings have been shown in several art exhibitions. For example, she had a solo show at the Rosamund Felsen Gallery in 2015.
Musical Contributions
Tanya Haden plays the cello for many groups in the Los Angeles area. She has performed as an extra member of the band Silversun Pickups. She also played cello on their Pikul EP, released in 2005. Tanya has recorded with the indie folk band Sea Wolf. She also played cello on The Warlocks' album Surgery in 2005.
The Haden Triplets Album
Tanya and her sisters, Petra and Rachel, are known as The Haden Triplets. They released their first album on February 4, 2014. The album features the sisters singing together in harmony. Famous musician Ry Cooder produced the record. The album was released by Third Man Records, a company started by musician Jack White.
Tanya Haden's Personal Life
Tanya Haden met actor Jack Black when they were students. They both attended Crossroads School, a private high school in Santa Monica. Even though they went to school together, they did not start dating until spring 2005.
Marriage and Family
Tanya and Jack got married on March 14, 2006, in Big Sur, California. Their first son was born on June 10, 2006, in Los Angeles. Their second son was born on May 23, 2008. Both Tanya and Jack decided to raise their children in the Jewish faith.
Song Inspiration
The song "Stay Forever" by the band Ween was written for Tanya Haden. This was shared by Aaron Freeman, also known as Gene Ween.
