Tardajos is a small town and a municipality in Spain. It's located in the province of Burgos, which is part of the Castile and León region. In 2014, about 950 people lived there.
History of Tardajos
Tardajos has a long history. In 1127, it received a special set of rules called a fuero. This was given by Count Pedro González de Lara and Countess Eva.
A fuero was like a special law or charter. It gave the town and its people certain rights and freedoms. This helped the town grow and develop.
The fuero for Tardajos was updated several times. Count Pedro or Countess Eva re-issued it with changes. The last time it was updated was in 1147.
