Anastasios "Tasos" Mitropoulos, born on August 23, 1957, is a famous Greek person. He was a professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He was also involved in politics. Fans of the Olympiacos team gave him the nickname "Rambo."

Playing Football: Club Career

Tasos Mitropoulos was born in Volos, a city in Greece. He started his football journey with a local team called Aris Petroupoli.

Early Club Years

In 1976, Tasos joined Ethnikos Piraeus. He played for this team for five seasons, showing off his skills.

Time with Olympiacos

In 1981, Mitropoulos moved to Olympiacos, a very big club in Piraeus. This was a very successful time for him. With Olympiacos, he helped the team win three league titles. They also won the Greek Cup two times.

Other Teams and Return

After his time at Olympiacos, Mitropoulos played for other clubs. He spent two seasons with AEK Athens, where he won two more league titles. He also played a single game for Panathinaikos, who were big rivals of Olympiacos. In 1997, he returned to Olympiacos for his final season. He retired from playing football when he was almost 41 years old.
