Tavia Yeung Sin-yiu (born August 30, 1979) is a famous actress from Hong Kong. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows like Vigilante Force, Moonlight Resonance, Beyond the Realm of Conscience, and Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles.
After finishing her acting classes with the TV company TVB in 1999, Yeung started her career by appearing in music videos and playing small parts in TV dramas. She got her big break in 2003 with the show Vigilante Force, which won her the Most Improved Female Artiste award.
Yeung became even more famous for her role in the 2008 drama Moonlight Resonance, winning Best Supporting Actress. In 2012, she won the Best Actress award for Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles. This made her the first actress to win all four major acting awards from TVB, showing how talented she is.
Acting Career
Starting Out
After graduating from TVB's acting school in 1999, Tavia Yeung began her journey as an actress. At first, she had very small roles, sometimes without even a name, in shows like Justice Sung II and Street Fighters. Her first important role was in The Awakening Story in 2001, where she played the younger sister of the main character.
In 2003, Yeung's career took a big step forward. She played a rebellious single mother in the drama Vigilante Force. Her performance was so good that she won the TVB Anniversary Award for Most Improved Female Artiste. This award showed that people were noticing her talent. Soon after, she starred in popular shows like Twin of Brothers, which made her even more well-known.
Becoming a Top Actress
In 2008, Yeung starred in Moonlight Resonance, a spin-off of the very successful drama Heart of Greed. Her role earned her great reviews and the TVB Anniversary Award for Best Supporting Actress. This was a huge achievement in her career.
The next year, she took on her first role as a villain in the historical drama Beyond the Realm of Conscience. She played a clever and scheming consort in the emperor's palace. The show was a massive hit, and Yeung won the My Favourite Female Character award for her amazing performance.
In 2012, Yeung starred in the medical drama The Hippocratic Crush as Dr. Fan. The show was very popular, and she won several awards for her role. Later that year, she played an opera singer in the drama Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles. This role won her the TVB Anniversary Award for Best Actress. Recent Work

Personal Life
Tavia Yeung's older sister, Griselda Yeung, is also an actress. In 2011, Yeung started dating actor Him Law after they worked together on the show The Hippocratic Crush. The couple got married in 2016.
In 2020, Yeung and her husband announced that they were expecting a baby, and their daughter was born later that year. In October 2020, Yeung changed her Chinese name from Yeung Yi to Yeung Sin-yiu. Her husband also changed his name at the same time. In December 2021, the couple welcomed their second child, a son.
