Teal Alexander Bunbury (born February 27, 1990) is a professional soccer player. He plays as a forward for the Major League Soccer team Nashville SC. Teal was born in Canada but played for the United States national team.

Early Life and Family
Teal Bunbury was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. His mother, Kristi Novak, is American. His father, Alex Bunbury, was also a professional soccer player. Alex played for the Canadian men's soccer team.
Teal has an older sister, Kylie, who is an actress. He also has two younger brothers, Logan and Mataeo. Mataeo is also a professional soccer player.
When Teal was two years old, his family moved to England. Then they moved to Portugal because of his father's soccer career. At age 10, Teal moved to the United States. He grew up in Prior Lake, Minnesota. He went to Shattuck-St. Mary's High School.
College Soccer Career
Teal Bunbury started his soccer journey with Apple Valley Juventus. He then played college soccer for the University of Akron. He played 48 games for the Akron Zips in 2008 and 2009. In his first year, he scored six goals.
In his second year, Teal became a star player. He scored 17 goals, leading his team and the nation. He also helped his team reach the 2009 Division I Men's College Cup final. Teal won many awards that year. He was named the 2009 Hermann Trophy Award winner. This award goes to the best player in college soccer.
While in college, Teal also played for the Rochester Thunder and the Chicago Fire Premier.
Professional Soccer Career
Starting in MLS
After two successful years in college, Teal Bunbury decided to become a professional. He was chosen by the Kansas City Wizards in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. He was the 4th player picked overall.
Teal played his first professional game on March 27, 2010. He scored his first professional goal on April 13 in a cup game. His first MLS goal came on July 14, helping his team win 1–0. In August 2012, Teal had a serious injury. He tore a ligament in his knee and was out for 10 months.
Playing for New England Revolution
In February 2014, Teal joined the New England Revolution. He quickly became an important player for the team. He helped them reach the 2014 MLS Cup Final. He scored a great goal in the Eastern Conference final. The Revolution lost the final game 2–1 after extra time.
Teal also helped the Revs reach the 2016 U.S. Open Cup Final. He scored two goals in one game and another in the semifinals. In 2018, Teal scored 11 goals for the Revs. This was his best scoring year in the league. In 2020, he was the leading scorer for New England. He was also named the club's Humanitarian of the Year. This award recognizes players who do good work in their community.
Moving to Nashville SC
On December 12, 2021, Teal Bunbury moved to Nashville SC. He continues to play as a forward for the team.
International Career
Teal Bunbury played for Canada's national youth teams (U-17 and U-20). Later, he was called to play for the senior United States team. He played his first game for the U.S. on November 17, 2010. He scored his first international goal against Chile in January 2011.
Personal Life
Teal Bunbury's father, Alex Bunbury, was a famous soccer player for Canada. Alex was one of the top goal scorers for the Canadian team. Teal was the first son of a former MLS player to be drafted into the league.
In 2015, Teal married Kaity Maurer. They have two daughters together.
