Ted Levine was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on May 29, 1957. His parents, Charlotte Virginia and Milton Dmitri Levine, were both doctors. His father had Russian-Jewish family roots. His mother had Welsh and Native American family history.
Ted grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. In 1975, he started college at Marlboro College.
His Acting Journey
Ted Levine began his acting career in the Chicago theatre scene. He joined a group called the Remains Theatre. This group was started by actors like Gary Cole and William Petersen.
In the 1980s, Ted started looking for roles in movies and on television. One of his early big roles was Frank Holman. He played this character in the TV drama Crime Story from 1986 to 1988.
