Tedrow is also a census-designated place (CDP). This term is used by the U.S. Census Bureau to count the population of specific areas. Tedrow is found in southwestern Dover Township. It sits where County Road J crosses County Roads 17-2 and 17-3.
The community is about 3 miles north and 3.5 miles west of Wauseon. Wauseon is the main town, also called the county seat, of Fulton County. Tedrow is less than one mile north of the Ohio Turnpike, a major highway. In 2020, 168 people were counted as living in Tedrow.

How Tedrow Got Its Start: Spring Hill
Near Tedrow, you can find Brush Creek. This creek flows into the Tiffin River. Brush Creek gets its water from a natural spring. The spring's clean water made this spot a favorite place for Native American groups. They used it as a campground and resting spot during their hunting trips. Because of this spring, Tedrow was first known as "Spring Hill." You can see this name on a map from 1858.
The Tedrow Post Office
A post office was opened in Tedrow in 1839. A post office is a place where people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years. It stayed open until 1917. The community was named "Tedrow" after a local family who lived in the area.
