Telephlebia is a group of amazing dragonflies. These dragonflies belong to a larger family called Telephlebiidae. They are special because they are only found in eastern Australia. This means they are endemic to that area.
Telephlebia dragonflies are medium to large in size. They have a dark chestnut brown body. Their wings often have dark markings on the front edge. These dragonflies are known as crepuscular creatures. This means they are most active during twilight, like when the sun is setting. You will often see them flying around at dusk.
