It usually weighs between 25 and 55 grams (about 0.9 to 1.9 ounces). Even though it's quite big, it's still smaller than its close relative, the Lake Junin frog (T. macrostomus). Both of these frogs are also endangered. Sometimes, these two frog species are placed in a different group called Batrachophrynus.
