Tempestt Bledsoe, born on August 1, 1973, is an American actress. She is famous for playing Vanessa Huxtable as a child. Vanessa was the fourth child of Cliff and Clair Huxtable on the TV show The Cosby Show. This popular show aired on NBC from 1984 to 1992. Later, in December 2010, Tempestt became the host of Clean House on the Style Network. From September 2012 to February 2013, she also starred as Marny in the NBC TV show Guys with Kids.

Early Roles and The Cosby Show
Tempestt Bledsoe started her acting journey in 1984. She was chosen for the role of Vanessa Huxtable on the TV show The Cosby Show. She was a main character on the show until it ended in 1992. She even appeared once as Vanessa on another show called A Different World. In 1986, Tempestt played Grace Wheeler in an episode of the ABC Afterschool Special. She also became a national spokesperson for DARE in 1989.
Hosting and Other TV Appearances
In the mid-1990s, from 1995 to 1996, Bledsoe hosted her own daytime talk show. It was called The Tempestt Bledsoe Show. She also made guest appearances on other TV shows. These included The Parkers and The Practice. She also appeared in shows like Strong Medicine and South of Nowhere.
Recent Projects and Voice Acting
Tempestt Bledsoe continued to act in various projects. She played Nina in the TV movie Husband for Hire. She also appeared in Raising the Bar. From 2008 to 2009, she lent her voice to the character Abby in the animated series The Replacements. In 2010, she returned to TV as the host of Clean House. Her first episode aired in January 2011. In 2012, she was the voice of Sheriff Hooper in the animated movie ParaNorman.
From 2012 to 2013, she played Marny in the NBC sitcom Guys with Kids. In 2014, she appeared in an episode of Instant Mom. She played Vanessa Huxtable again in that episode. In July 2019, Bledsoe was seen in the Netflix show Family Reunion.
Personal Life
Tempestt Bledsoe studied finance at New York University. She earned a bachelor's degree there. Since 1993, she has been in a relationship with actor Darryl M. Bell. Darryl Bell also starred in the NBC TV show A Different World. This show was a spin-off from The Cosby Show. The couple appeared together on the TV series Househusbands of Hollywood in 2009. Tempestt Bledsoe is a vegetarian.
