Tempestt Bledsoe (born August 1, 1973) is an American actress. She is famous for playing Vanessa Huxtable on the TV show The Cosby Show. She was a child when she started this role. Vanessa was the fourth child of Cliff and Clair Huxtable on the NBC sitcom. The show ran from 1984 to 1992. Later, in 2010, Tempestt became the host of Clean House on the Style Network. From 2012 to 2013, she also starred in the NBC TV show Guys with Kids as a character named Marny.

Tempestt's Acting Journey
Tempestt Bledsoe started her acting career in 1984. She got the role of Vanessa Huxtable on The Cosby Show. She was a main character until the show ended in 1992. She also appeared as Vanessa on A Different World once. In 1986, Tempestt was in an ABC Afterschool Special called "The Gift of Amazing Grace." In 1989, she became a national spokesperson for DARE.
In the mid-1990s, from 1995 to 1996, Tempestt hosted her own talk show. It was called The Tempestt Bledsoe Show. She also made a short appearance in the sitcom The Parkers. She had a repeating role as a single mom on the ABC show The Practice.
Tempestt also appeared in the Lifetime show Strong Medicine. She was also in South of Nowhere. More recently, she played Nina in the Oxygen TV movie Husband for Hire. She was also in Steven Bochco's Raising the Bar. She voiced Abby in the second season of Disney Channel's cartoon series The Replacements. She was on Celebrity Fit Club and Fear Factor too.
On December 1, 2010, it was announced that Tempestt would return to TV. She took over as the host of Clean House on Style Network. Her first episode aired on January 26, 2011. In 2012, Tempestt lent her voice to the character Sheriff Hooper. This was for the animated movie ParaNorman by Laika.
From September 2012 to February 2013, she played Marny in the NBC TV sitcom Guys with Kids. In 2014, Tempestt appeared in an episode of Instant Mom. She played Vanessa Huxtable again in that episode. In July 2019, she was in the Netflix show Family Reunion. She appeared in the episode "Remember When Our Boys Became Men?".

Tempestt's Life Outside Acting
Tempestt Bledsoe went to New York University. She earned a degree in finance there. Since 1993, she has been in a relationship with actor Darryl M. Bell. Darryl Bell was also in the NBC TV comedy A Different World. This show was a spin-off from The Cosby Show. Tempestt and Darryl appeared together in the TV series Househusbands of Hollywood. This show came out in August 2009. Tempestt Bledsoe is also a vegetarian.
