On March 28, 2000, a serious event happened in Tennga. A school bus and a freight train collided at a railroad crossing. Sadly, this accident resulted in the deaths of three children. This road and the railway are often used by people traveling between big cities like Atlanta and Knoxville, as they offer a way to go around Chattanooga.
