Maria Teresa de Almeida Salgueiro is a famous Portuguese singer. She is best known for being the main singer of a group called Madredeus. She sang with them from 1987 to 2007. Teresa also appeared in a movie called Lisbon Story.
Her Musical Journey
Teresa Salgueiro joined the band Madredeus after other members heard her singing in a bar in Lisbon, Portugal. She became their lead singer and stayed with the group for many years.
In November 2007, Teresa decided to leave Madredeus. She wanted to focus on her own music and projects as a solo artist.
In 2007, Teresa performed a special concert. She sang traditional music from Naples, a city in Italy. She performed with a group called the Solis String Quartet. In the same year, she released an album called Você e Eu with Septeto de João Cristal. On this album, Teresa sang songs by famous Brazilian artists like Chico Buarque.
