In Cairo, Teresa helped start the National Conservatory of Egypt. This was a big achievement, as it helped many students learn music. She continued to teach music and compose her own pieces while living in Egypt.

Returning Home

Teresa stayed in Cairo until her husband passed away. In 1963, she decided to move back to her hometown of Naples, Italy. Even after returning, she continued her passion for music. She kept teaching students and writing new compositions.

A Musical Family

Teresa's love for music was passed down to her family. Her son, Mario Feninger, also became a very talented concert pianist. To honor his mother's musical legacy, Mario created the Teresa de Rogatis Foundation in Los Angeles. This foundation helps keep her music and memory alive.
