Tetsu Nagasawa (長澤 徹, Nagasawa Tetsu, born May 28, 1968) is a well-known Japanese soccer player and manager. He used to play as a midfielder. Today, he is the manager for the J2 League club RB Omiya Ardija.

Tetsu Nagasawa's Playing Career
Tetsu Nagasawa was born in Osaka Prefecture on May 28, 1968. He grew up in Matsuyama. After finishing college at the University of Tsukuba, he joined a soccer team called Yamaha Motors in 1991. This team later became known as Júbilo Iwata.
Playing as a Midfielder and Defender
Nagasawa played as a midfielder, which is a player who helps both attack and defend. He also played as a right-back, a defender on the right side of the field. In 1993, his team, Yamaha Motors, finished second in their league. This success helped the team get promoted to the J1 League, which is Japan's top professional soccer league.
Moving to Honda FC
In 1994, Nagasawa did not get to play as much. So, in 1995, he moved to Honda, a club in the Japan Football League. At Honda, he became a regular player. He played in many matches for the team until 1996. In 1997, he did not play any games and decided to retire from playing soccer at the end of that season.
Tetsu Nagasawa's Coaching Career
After he stopped playing, Nagasawa started coaching. His first coaching job was at Honda in 1998. In 2001, he moved to FC Tokyo. He worked there as a coach for the main team. He also managed the youth team, helping young players develop their skills. He stayed with FC Tokyo until 2011.
Returning to Júbilo Iwata
In 2012, Nagasawa went back to his old club, Júbilo Iwata. He became a coach there, working under the manager Hitoshi Morishita. In May 2013, the team was not doing well, so Morishita was replaced. Nagasawa stepped in as a temporary manager for a few games. He managed the team until Takashi Sekizuka was appointed as the new manager.
Managing Fagiano Okayama
In 2014, Nagasawa joined J2 League club Fagiano Okayama as a coach. He worked with manager Masanaga Kageyama. The next year, in 2015, Nagasawa took over as the manager of Fagiano Okayama. Under his leadership, the team had a great season in 2016. They finished in 6th place, which was the best result in the club's history at that time. He continued to manage Fagiano Okayama until the end of the 2018 season.
Back to FC Tokyo and Current Role
In 2019, Nagasawa returned to FC Tokyo. He worked as a coach under manager Kenta Hasegawa. He also managed FC Tokyo U-23, which is a team for younger players at FC Tokyo. As of 2024, he is the manager of RB Omiya Ardija.
