Teuva, also known as Östermark in Swedish, is a small town or municipality in Finland. It is located in the South Ostrobothnia region.
As of 31 December 2023, about 4,758 people live in Teuva. The municipality covers an area of about 554.73 km2 (214.18 sq mi). A small part of this area, 1.35 km2 (0.52 sq mi), is made up of inland water. This means there are about 8.58/km2 (22.2/sq mi) people living in each square kilometer. The main language spoken in Teuva is Finnish.

A Look at Teuva's Past
Teuva was officially established in 1868. It has a long history, like many places in Finland.
The Mobile Sauna Festival
In August 2010, Teuva hosted a very unique event: the fifth annual Mobile Sauna Festival. More than fifty small, portable saunas were brought together near a lake. This festival was very popular, attracting about six thousand visitors. That's a lot of people for Teuva, as it actually doubled the town's population for that weekend!
