Discovering the Story
This section will tell you more about the exciting plot of The Book of Lies.
A Boy with No Memory
The story begins with a 12-year-old boy. He wakes up in an orphanage one night. He has no memory of anything. The only thing he remembers is a name: Robert. But Robert is not his real name.
Meeting Bea and Friends
A little girl named Bea knows the truth. She was there when Lord Alwyn, a powerful sorcerer, erased the boy's memory. He used a special book called the Book of Lies to do it. Bea tells the boy his real name is Marcel.
Marcel meets other kids at the orphanage. He meets the strong Fergus and the proud Nicola. Their memories are also full of lies.
Uncovering Secrets
One day, a mysterious man named Starkey appears. He claims to know the real pasts of Nicola, Fergus, and Marcel.
Marcel later meets a woman who says she is his mother. She is held prisoner by King Pelham. King Pelham is said to be an evil ruler. Marcel starts to wonder if Starkey is telling the truth. Is this woman really his mother? Is King Pelham truly evil, or is that another lie? Danger is everywhere. Marcel must work fast. He needs to stop a terrible beast of war, Mortregis, from rising again.
