The very first Brainwaves book came out in September 2006. It was called "How Nearly Everything Was Invented...by The Brainwaves." This book teaches you all about amazing inventions throughout history.

Jilly MacLeod wrote this book. Lisa Swerling and Ralph Lazar drew all the awesome pictures. It was so popular that it was translated into 14 different languages!

This book also won some cool awards:

  • It was shortlisted for The Royal Society Prizes for Science Books in 2007.
  • The Washington Post named it Book of the Week in April 2007.
  • It was also a finalist for the US Parents' Choice Award in 2006.
