Where Does the Story Happen?

The main character is Amuba, a young prince. His father, the king of the Rebu people, is killed in a battle. The Egyptian army conquers the Rebu nation. Amuba is then taken to Egypt as a captive. His loyal charioteer, Jethro, goes with him.
Life in Thebes
In the city of Thebes, Amuba becomes a servant. He also becomes a friend to Chebron. Chebron is the son of Ameres, a very important priest of Osiris. The two boys soon find themselves in a puzzling situation. They start to discover clues about a dangerous plan. This plan involves some of the priests themselves.
A Sacred Cat and a Great Escape
Before they can stop the conspiracy, something terrible happens. Amuba and Chebron accidentally cause the death of a sacred cat. This cat was meant to be the next "Cat of Bubastes." These cats were considered extremely holy in Egypt. Because of this accident, the boys are forced to run for their lives.
With Jethro guiding and protecting them, the boys make a plan. They want to escape from Egypt. Their goal is to return to Amuba's homeland. The story follows their thrilling journey and the challenges they face.
