What the Story Is About
Nancy's New Case
The story begins when Nancy Drew sees someone snatch a purse. She quickly chases after the thief. Nancy manages to get the purse back for its owner. However, the important items inside are gone.
The owner of the purse is a woman who collects dolls. She asks Nancy to help her with a mystery. Nancy is given a strange clue: "The source of light will heal all ills, but a curse will follow him who takes it from the gypsies."
Following the Clues
This clue leads Nancy on a search. She needs to find an old photo album. She also looks for a lost doll. And a missing gypsy violinist is part of the puzzle too!
Nancy is a very determined detective. She never gives up, even when things get tough. She faces many dangers during her investigation.
Dangers and Warnings
At one point, Nancy feels very unwell after a strange incident involving a doll. Someone even tries to run her car off the road! She also receives many warnings telling her to stop the case. But Nancy keeps going until she solves the mystery.
