The Crayon Box was an American TV show for kids that aired from 1997 to 1998. It was based on a poem by Shane DeRolf. The show was usually paired with another popular kids' show, Bananas in Pajamas, making a 30-minute block where each show was 15 minutes long. The main idea of The Crayon Box was to help kids learn and grow, with its motto being "A Good Show Helping to Build Great Kids". Besides the crayon characters, the show also featured many other characters, some played by puppets and others as cartoons.
The series was made by several companies, including Chiodo Bros. Productions, Sunbow Entertainment, Random House, and PolyGram Television. In Canada, the show was broadcast on YTV.
