The Daily Star is a popular English newspaper in Bangladesh. It comes out every day. More people read this newspaper than any other English newspaper in the country. Syed Mohammad Ali started the paper on January 14, 1991.

Mahfuz Anam is the person in charge of the newspaper as its editor. He was also a member of the Mukti Bahini and worked for the United Nations.
