The Daisy Chain's Story

Forming the Band

The Daisy Chain started in Fullerton, California. This city is in Orange County, near Los Angeles. The band members were Shel Le, Camille, Rosemary Lane, and Dee Dee Lea. Their name, "The Daisy Chain," showed their interest in the new psychedelic music. It also connected to the "flower power" movement of that time.

Their Album and Breakup

In 1968, the band released their only album. It was called Straight or Lame and came out on the United International label. After releasing their album, the band broke up soon after. Rosemary Lane later sang backup for the musician Jackson Browne. However, the other band members did not continue making music.

Still Remembered Today

Even though The Daisy Chain was only active for a short time, their music is still enjoyed. Many fans of garage rock and psychedelic music have discovered their work.
