It was first published in 1980 by Simon & Schuster under the name Carolyn Keene. This book has been re-released several times, sometimes with new covers. The first edition had cool pictures inside by Ruth Sanderson, but these were removed in later versions. In 2005, it was printed again with a special "glossy flashlight" cover.

Unraveling the Mystery: The Plot

Nancy Drew and her friends head to the Shawniegunk Forest. They are looking for a mysterious flying saucer that is causing trouble for people living nearby. While they are busy with this strange mystery, a nature expert who lives in the forest asks for their help. He needs them to find a treasure his father left for him. On top of all this, they also have to figure out the puzzle of a Native American man who keeps appearing and disappearing!
