The Legend of the Lost Keys was a cool educational TV show from the BBC. It was part of their "Look and Read" series, which helped kids learn to read and write. The show first came out on BBC Two in 1998 and was shown again until 2007.

The Story

Imagine going on holiday and finding out your uncle has a secret! That's what happens to twins, Mark and Lisa. They discover their Uncle George is protecting an old, special box. This box is actually a secret door to another world called Heritron.

But then, some scientists steal the box! Uncle George gets really worried. He thinks the bad leaders from Heritron are trying to use the box to get to Earth. So, it's up to Mark and Lisa to help their uncle get the box back and save the day!

The Book

The book version of The Legend of the Lost Keys was written by Jim Eldridge. It was published by BBC Books in 1998, the same year the show first aired.

Video and DVD

The show was released on VHS videotape in 1998. Later, in 2006, it also came out on DVD. This meant more people could watch the adventures of Mark and Lisa at home.

CD-ROM

There were also special computer games (CD-ROMs) based on the show. These were designed to help younger kids, aged 5–11, with their learning. They were released in 1997 and 1998.
