What is The Lost Islands About?
The story begins with a huge hurricane. It almost sinks a ship called the United World. This ship was carrying 40 teenagers from different countries. Most of them escaped in lifeboats. But five teenagers were accidentally left behind. The big storm then pushed the damaged ship. It landed in a hidden lagoon on an unknown island.
Discovering the Island of Tambu
This mysterious island is called Tambu. It is ruled by a very old and powerful leader known as "Q". People say he is 200 years old and cannot die. Q arrived on the island a long time ago. He came on one of the ships that were originally going to New Holland.
In the middle of Tambu island, there is a special valley. Here, the families of the original ship's crew still live. They live like people from the 1700s.
The Island of Malo
Next to Tambu is a smaller island named Malo. This island is mostly empty and barren. It has a lagoon where prisoners are forced to work. They have to dive for a "blue weed." The people of Tambu believe Q uses this weed. They think it is made into a powder that helps him live longer.
The Five Stranded Teenagers
The five teenagers who were left behind become friends with a local family. This family is called the Quinns. The Quinns help them hide on the island. They stay in a swamp that locals usually avoid. People believe the swamp is haunted by ghosts.
Most of the adventures in the show involve the teenagers trying to outsmart Q. Q is worried that the teenagers know too much about the outside world. He fears their knowledge could threaten his power over Tambu.
