"The Old Man and the Key" is an episode from the thirteenth season of the cartoon show The Simpsons. It first aired in the United States on March 10, 2002. In this episode, Grampa Simpson finds a new friend, Zelda. She is an older woman who moves into the retirement home where Grampa lives. Grampa is not the only one who likes Zelda. Other residents at the home also want to be her friend.

The episode includes a song called "Ode to Branson". Jon Vitti wrote the words for this song. Alf Clausen composed the music. The song was nominated for an award in 2002. It was for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Music And Lyrics. However, it did not win. It lost to music from a nature show called The Blue Planet.
