What's the Story About?
The story begins with strange thefts happening in the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Valuable old weather vanes are disappearing! These are special spinning decorations often found on top of buildings.
At the same time, a big secret document goes missing from the Pentagon. The Pentagon is a huge building in the United States. It is where the country's defense leaders work. A Navy employee who had this top-secret paper also vanishes.
Fenton Hardy, who is the father of Frank and Joe Hardy, is a famous detective. He is asked to find the missing man and the important document. Frank and Joe, the Hardy Boys, decide to help their dad. They soon find out that the stolen weather vanes and the missing Pentagon document are connected. It's up to them to solve both mysteries!
