The Pinnacle at Symphony Place is a very tall building, also known as a skyscraper, located in Nashville, Tennessee. It has 29 floors and is used for offices and shops. You can find it in the SoBro area, which is just south of Broadway, right next to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. This impressive building officially opened its doors on February 10, 2010.
About the Pinnacle Building
The Pinnacle at Symphony Place has a lot of modern office spaces and also some shops. It's home to a company called Pinnacle Financial Partners and several law firms. The building cost about US$170 million to build.
Green Features
This building is special because it was the first office building in downtown Nashville to get a special "Gold LEED" award. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. This award means the building was designed to save energy and be good for the environment.
One cool feature is a large garden on its roof, which is about the size of a football field. This "green roof" helps the building stay cool and is good for nature. The Pinnacle also has other things that are good for the environment.
Building Design
The tower was designed by two groups of architects: Pickard Chilton from New Haven, Connecticut, and Everton Oglesby from Nashville. One of the architects, Jon Pickard, said that the outside look of the tower was inspired by the classic, beautiful tall buildings from the past.
