What is The Waterfront?
The Waterfront is a well-known music venue and nightclub. It's located on King Street in Norwich, a city in Norfolk, England. You can find it right next to the River Wensum. It's also across from an area called Norwich Riverside. Since 1993, the Union of UEA Students has been in charge of The Waterfront. This means they help run the shows and events. But don't worry, it's not just for university students. Anyone can come in and have a good time!
Inside The Waterfront
This building has two main floors. The ground floor is the biggest part. It has a large main room where up to 700 people can watch a show. There's also a bar inside this room, along with changing rooms for the bands and toilets.
The first floor is a bit smaller. It has a room that can hold about 200 people. There's also a café bar where you can grab a drink. Plus, there's an office area on this floor. The Waterfront hosts many different kinds of live music all year long.
Famous Artists Who Have Played Here
Many famous bands and artists have performed at The Waterfront in Norwich. Some of these include Pulp, Radiohead, Nirvana, The Verve, and Arctic Monkeys.
Other big names like The Prodigy, Amy Winehouse, Stereophonics, and Paul Weller have also played on its stage. You might also know Buzzcocks, MGMT, Travis, Moby, Ellie Goulding, and Foals. It's a place where many music stars have shared their talent!
