The Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP) is a special group that works to protect nature. It is a non-profit organization, which means it uses all its money to help reach its goals, not to make a profit for owners. TRCP brings together many different groups, businesses, and people who love the outdoors.

Their main goal is to get more money from the government to protect our natural lands and waters. They also work to make sure hunters and fishers can still enjoy these outdoor spaces.

What Does TRCP Do?

The TRCP talks to leaders in government to help them understand why protecting nature is so important. This is called lobbying. They want these leaders to do more to stop climate change. Climate change is a big shift in Earth's weather patterns. TRCP believes climate change will greatly affect people who hunt and fish.

They have also joined forces with other big groups like the National Wildlife Federation and Trout Unlimited. Together, they formed a team called "Sportsmen for Responsible Energy Development." This team works hard to protect our forests and other natural places. They want to make sure these areas are safe for wildlife and for people to enjoy.

Who Leads TRCP?

As of December 2014, the person in charge of TRCP was Whit Fosburgh. He was the President and CEO. In 2013, the organization received about $3.7 million to do its work. They spent most of this money, about 84% of it, directly on their programs to protect nature. This shows they put a lot of their funds into their main goals.
