Travis Tremayne Tyler was born in Greenwood, Mississippi, on March 17, 1977. When he was a baby, his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri. He started rapping at the age of 14.
As a teenager, he recorded his first demo album. His early music was about the difficult life he saw around him. After some time, Thi'sl decided to change his life and focus on making positive music that could inspire others.
Helping the Community
Thi'sl is also known for his work to help his community. After a sad event in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014, he became very involved in helping the town heal. He asked people from the community and local churches to work together for peace.
He also worked with professional golfer Bubba Watson to help a local school. They donated $25,000 to Griffith Elementary School in Ferguson. The money was used to repair damage and replace stolen items. In 2018, Thi'sl survived a violent attack, which strengthened his message of hope and overcoming hard times.
